In our Glenview store, we have a continual flow of items from estates or people bring in from their attics to consign.

We don't always get to thoroughly research each piece that comes in. Many times we get pieces in that have been passed down through the family for generations. They have a life to them. They tell the story of a family, a culture or a period of time gone by.

Sometimes you have to ask yourself, "how could they make something so complicated back in the 1700's with such primative tools by todays standards?".

There are so many things to learn in an antique store. That is why you must keep coming back. There is always something new to learn.
